How it all began
Born in The Beaches, built for your pets
Fido and Friends was founded right here in The Beaches by a lifelong animal lover who believed grooming should be calm, caring, and tailored to each pet's personality — not a one-size-fits-all assembly line.
What started as a small home studio quickly grew through word of mouth. Neighbours would spot freshly groomed dogs on the Boardwalk and ask where they'd been. The answer was always the same: Fido and Friends.
Today we serve families across The Beaches and East York, welcoming dogs and cats of every breed, size, and temperament. Our approach hasn't changed — patient, gentle, and always led by what's best for your pet.

Founder & Lead Groomer
Jessica has been grooming dogs and cats for over 5 years. She founded Fido and Friends to create the kind of salon and community she always wished existed in the neighbourhood.
Chris Townend
Technology & Operations
A long-time resident of The Beaches and lifelong animal lover, Chris is the wizard behind everything tech at Fido and Friends. He keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes — and happens to be Jessica's loving partner.
Thor
Sales Dog & Chief Tail Wagger
Thor is our sales dog — still a puppy, but that doesn't stop him from doing his job. He greets every client with boundless enthusiasm and has yet to meet a pet he didn't immediately befriend.
Rooted in the neighbourhood
The Beaches and East York have some of the most dog-friendly streets in Toronto — and we love being part of that culture. You'll find us at local dog park meetups, supporting neighbourhood rescue events, and cheering on the annual Woofstock parade.
